Esplanade Screening Room 7PM sharp! Bring enough copies of your script for us to be able to share and read aloud. We'll move over to the cafe at 9 for cake!

BTW: I FINALLY submitted the grades from last term TODAY.

Since I've made it SOOO easy on you, I've decided to make the Evaluation of the class be part of your FINAL :-) (10%)

On Monday I handed it out to those who were in class, but for those who weren't there for the bleary eyed review of this past term's class sessions, here's the text from the evaluation. (your script will be 20% of the grade)

The HIGHLIGHTS of the last 14 weeks…

To help solidify learning, try to remember at least one highlight you’d like to remember from each class session/learning exercise:

Technical theater Vocabulary (pictionary & “quiz”)

Discussion on “A Christian Response to Theatre” article

Video samples (Rainbow Fish, Missing Bodies, Okalahoma)

Costumes

Set Design

Properties

Directing

Tour of NUS Cultural Centre

Tour of Costume shops & stage management

Script writing

Make-up

Attending plays

Reading Sketches

Writing a sketch

I can’t believe I did this

This class inpired me to work more on

I wish we’d had more time for

I hope I never have to ________________________________________ again!

I sensed God’s presence when
I also have this to say

How can we pray for you? (and we will pray!)

May the God of peace, who…brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus…equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:20,21

A few weeks back Daniel took a great deal of time and care to show off the venues at the University Cultural Centre. As is our custom in this class we took some time to pray for him. Good memories with a new friend and our great bunch of budding theatre artists!

Thanks Daniel for a super tour! A real treat for all of us. Bless you in your work at National University's University Cultural Centre! Perhaps someday in the future we'll have a chance to work together!

Finally getting around to typing up the class evaluation from LAST term. That along with giving Paul David your grades! No evaluations from Gilbert, Kace, Jacqueline, Vasa & Piteulia :-(

PERFORMING ARTS, AD100
And now for your feedback…
(Please fill in the blanks, circle, or draw cartoons as appropriate)

Customer Survey Reports: This Customer’s Satisfaction is 98%! (class average)

During this last term…
I can’t believe you got me to try improvisation, readers’ theatre, mime, reciting Acts to Deniece in my fastest pace ever!! Playback Theatre.

I will never forget the lesson about storytelling (3), diamond ensemble, playback theatre , everything! I will keep all close to my heart.

I really want to work more on mime, my diction & pronunciation, dance! My voice projection, working with the stage, playback

I wish we’d had more time for going more in depth & more performances. Sketches, enacted prayer, more and more and more classes, Readers’ Theatre

I hope I never have to ________________________________________ again! (nothing, I loved everything) It’s amazing, just trying things can open your eyes! (actually nothing! I enjoyed every moment!) (nothing!)

I was moved by “The Prodigal Son in the Key of F” & Daniel Ch. 2 recitation, playback theatre, the creativity & unity of the class. Playback theatre and everyone’s passion & what they have to offer to God. Diamond Ensemble.

I sensed God’s presence when we prayed for one another and the guests, diamond ensemble, we saw fluid sculpture, we did playback theatre and diamond ensemble – felt a sense of worship, when we toally present ourselves to God.

Next time you teach, Make sure to include (don’t drop it from the list!): playback theatre and readers’ theatre, acting & character analysis

I also have this to say….
Thanks for being a model of a Christian artist – the class could sense your openess to us and your love for God and the arts!
I will take the next course and share whatever I learn with my friends and church.
The course is very enriching and widened up my perspective of creative arts.
I really enjoyed the clas, expecially all the exercises.
Thanks a lot! You are an inspiration! As much as I may not talk to you much, you have my heartfelft thanks and gratitude! And you have done and awesome job! Can’t wait for the next class.

May the God of peace, who…brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus…
equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:20,21
